Nangray Voluntary Out Of Home Care

VOHC is a form of out-of-home care where the parents or carers of a child agree that the child should temporarily reside outside of the family home, under the care of a specialist service or agency.

By taking short breaks from the responsibilities of caring for participants, respite enables both participants and their caregivers to recharge.

Our VOHC support, includes but is not limited to:

  • Regular family support.
  • Overnight and community support.
  • Transportation.
  • School hour care.
  • School holiday support.

Who is our Voluntary Out Of Home Care support for?

  • Children who are under a VOOHC arrangement up to the age of 18.
  • Children and young people with disabilities who require support and assistance with care outside the home.

How would you benefit from our Voluntary Out Of Home Care support?

  • Families can maintain an active part of their child’s life outside of their family home.
  • A supportive, therapeutic, and collaborative approach that puts the child’s needs first.
  • Support the child as he or she works towards their NDIS goals, develops age-appropriate daily living skills, implements therapeutic recommendations in a nurturing, homely environment.
  • Opportunities for the child to be an active part of their community, participate in activities they enjoy, and experience new things.
